Kawasaki GPB17 is a simple 1.7 MWe open cycle gas turbine generator, single shaft type, composed of 2-stage centrifugal compressor and 3-stage axial turbines. The gas turbine generator set consists of gas turbine engine, engine control system, generator and the auxiliary system of the package such as reducer, coupling, lubrication, starting and rotation system.
The combustor of this gas turbine is of the single can, single ignition type. There are 2 types of models for this series: GPB17 (conventional diffusion) and GPB17D (low dry emission).
The applicable fuel for GPB17 is natural gas.
