In 2007, Kawasaki developed a revolutionary gas engine with an efficiency of 48.5% and a low NOx combustion system. Now an improved model with an efficiency of 49.5% is also available. Power plants using our green gas engines realize lower operating costs, as well as lower emissions that benefit the environment. These highly efficient gas engines can further reduce operating costs in simple cycle or combined heat and power applications.
Some features of the model:
World's best electrical efficiency of 49.5% and 49.0%
Minimal impact on the environment: less than 200 ppm (0.8 g/kWh) at 0% of NOx emissions
Wide and continuous operating range
Flexible operation with a load range of 30-100%
High efficiency at partial load: about 45% electrical efficiency at 50% load
Quick start: less than 10 minutes from load shutdown to 100%
